With 27 Hours to Go

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Ah, the end is nigh. I bought vodka and beer party supplies today.

Current tally on bids: $1926. Not only are we nearly double the goal I set for the auction (and no, I won’t dye my hair pink twice if/when we hit $2000), but we’re just $574 away from getting The Cuz to her personal goal for all of her 3-Day fundraising. How awesome would it be if half of her donations came from this wee little auction stunt?

Bids have been updated yet again. I’ve confused some people with my updates, which shouldn’t surprise anyone because me? Running an auction? Something that requires organization and logic? Yeah, that’s going to work. Anyway, when I update the bids, you’ve probably noticed that the new minimum bid amount ends in a 1 or a 6. That’s the minimum price the next bidder has to pay in order to outbid the current winner.

Bidding will run through … I always get confused with midnight and dates. So let’s say that bidding will end at 12:01 AM on Saturday, July 14th. That’s one minute after midnight, not one minute after noon and my God, I’m confusing myself so I’m going to shut up and move on to something I know how to do.

I’m going to list another auction!

That’s right. I fooled you. Not everything was listed at the auction’s beginning on Monday. Actually, not because I’m being a merry prankster, but because this auction involves two people who’ve recently moved and one who was damn near knocked off the grid for a few days.

My other friend Kim just moved from Arizona to Utah, and yet she took the time to organize her bead collection so you can bid on two of her Custom-Beaded Necklaces! The top two bidders will pick one pendant from Kim’s collection:

Then, you can tell her what tickles your fancy from her accent beads:

(Again, the photos are wee, but you can click to see them big).

Again, there will be two winners in this auction, which starts at $10 $15. So go bid! There are still three or four other items that haven’t gotten bids, or are still under $40. Drive ‘em up, already!
